October - Breast Health

10/2/2015

Well, here it is again, October!!!!

The year just seem to float right by us. We get caught in the stresses of everyday living and forget that certain things are very important to do.

Luckily someone, devised a method for all us to remember certain, very important things.
So October was designated a Breast cancer awareness month among other things. Oktoberfest  in one. It's also one of my best friend's birthday month. geez.

Anyway, I just wanted to make sure I didn't neglect this month. This is basically the genesis of this site. To preserve and protect those wonderful assets.

I have included a link to a Self Exam site that I think will help in the process of eliminating this horrible disease.
http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/breasthealth/ht/breastselfexam.htm

There are of course, a myriad of sites and information based videos that will help a woman check herself. I believe also, that if you are a couple, that's something that both of you should participate and practice together.

That's right. We have to take care of those ladies who gives us so much. I love my girlfriend's "goodies" and we check every month for any bad actors.
Besides, what a great way to get things going!

See ya' mate!

My older sister died of b.c.

I check myself almost every time I jump in the shower. I find that having wet skin helps me.

I usually ask my boyfriend to check for me. He does it regularly.

Check yourselves ladies!

I hope that more women will check themselves more often for anomalies or strange changes on their breasts. Breasts are life!

My family has been affected twice by breast cancer. First my aunt and then my sister in law. It is devastating and overwhelming for everyone. I wish that the cure was here already.

We must keep fighting this thing until it no longer exists.

Keep your beautiful breasts happy and healthy!

Thanks for putting this PA out there.

We just completed our monthly checkups and all is well. Yippeee.

We are a couple in our mid 30's who love each other and our friends an family. Caring for ourselves, friends and family has brought many fun and wonderful times together.
Breast cancer is a very serious and deadly disease. Never feel embarrassed of ashamed to bring this topic about. You may be saving the life of someone you love.

We have been doing our own check ups for about 5 years on a monthly basis. There have been a couple of scares but then again, that's why we do them. Besides, it is fun ;)

Good luck and live long and happy. Love the breasts.

I think breast cancer is something that needs to be eradicated, but I also think that there's a disproportionate emphasis on it. I think it's time to pay more attention to every single cancer equally.

Maybe because everyone likes boobs they get that much more attention.

Yes, we need more people and organizations to get involved and figure out a way to get rid of breast cancer. All breasts matter!

I took a class at the local health clinic. I wanted to learn how to examine my wife. We do it every month and sometimes more often. We made it into a fun activity rather than something too serious.

Oh it's SO important to check as often as possible. I found a lump that scared me. My boyfriend discovered it actually.
We went to the doctor and it turn out to be a malignant cyst. I'm being treated and all is well.
The doctor was happy that I went when I did.

Now I check every month. Please y'all don't ignore any signs or strange lumps on your boobs.

Naim,

Sorry that you feel the need to put down the free choice of other people. Without making a political statement, that's the freedom we still have in this country. The freedom to choose for ourselves what suits us best in our lives.

Perhaps if you do take the time to look around, you'll learn something new that may give you a different perspective on a rigid belief.

You have the freedom to come and go as you please in the internet. Why did you choose to come here and allowed yourself to be offended is beyond my understanding. If you do not like what you see or hear, its simple; go someplace else!
